Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-10-17T12:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-10-17T12:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N25W80
Active Region Number: 14246
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
DFLR: Double ribbon flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
F: Flux Rope
Note: Bright flux rope CME seen to the NW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1, and to the NNW in STEREO A COR2. The source is the combined effects of two eruptions from AR 14246 (N25W80) which occur in close succession. The first eruption from AR 14246 (N25W80) is characterized by a small loop of ejecta seen lifting off at or near AR 14246 (N25W80) starting at 2025-10-17T10:57Z in GOES SUVI 304 and very widely opening field lines from the same location seen in GOES SUVI 284. Brightening and opening field line movement can be seen from AR 14246 in STEREO A EUVI 304 imagery. The second eruption from AR 14246 (N25W80), which includes an M1.1 flare, is characterized by a much more rapid instance of opening field lines seen in GOES SUVI 284 starting at 2025-10-17T12:37Z, and brightening and ejecta seen starting at 2025-10-17T12:45Z in STEREO A EUVI 304 imagery. Both instances of opening field lines likely resulted in two leading edges, which may have combined so early in their propagation that they appear as one leading edge by the time they appear in the SOHO LASCO C2 field of view.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
